Some background

The Past Pupils Annual Tennis Tournament is held in mid September. This event is held in Templeogue Tennis Club. It is a relatively new addition to the calendar of events for past pupils. The event has proven very popular with past pupils and has proven to be a very sociable evening for all.

The tennis, similar to all Past Pupils events is pre booked by availing of the automated booking system on this web site. Details of the tennis (cost , location , times etc) are all set out on this web site and are typically available at least six weeks before the event takes place.

Who attends the tennis tournament?
The tournament is open to all past pupils of Terenure College no matter what year you have left the College. It is geared to cater for all levels of tennis from beginner upwards. The format is an American Tournament with a draw for partners.
Eoin Bedford and Paddy Mac Namee kindly donated the “Bedford/Mac Namee Cup”, which is played for each year.
The tennis also provides those non-tennis players an opportunity to come along and attend the bbq and watch the proceedings.

Why is it important to attend the Tennis Tournament?
The Past Pupils Union Annual Tennis Tournament is a relatively new event, and it offers an opportunity for all age groups to get together through a sport. And hopefully fills a void for those who do not play golf.
